EV Connect aims to foster and promote engineering skills for the design of Electric Vehicles in PES. The structure of EV Club allows for multiple domains under it. We have Team Vega Racing Electric, which builds 4-wheeled open cockpit vehicles for Formula Student events; Vision X, which is looking to create an Electric Superbike for the enthusiast market and Sybrid, which aims to hybridise scooters to improve efficiency. Students gain hands-on practical experience, while applying engineering theories studied in the classroom in addition to the art of management and teamwork. We are working out of the EKO Vehicles Lab above the mechanical workshop with over 35 active participants. Achievements: Team Vega Racing Electric : Placed 16th in Imperial Society - Hybrid Vehicle Challenge (4 Wheeled Vehicle). Vision X : First place in the automotive domain at the Carbon Zero Challenge, IIT Madras and awarded for noteworthy effort by Polaris Virtusa, US consulate and IIT Madras. Sybrid: Placed 1st in the virtual rounds of TVS EGA Hybrid 2 wheeler competition. Finished as a finalist among the top teams in India.
